Thompson Lake

Thompson Lake is one of the larger lakes in the area.  The lake’s views are a must-see, and there are plenty of recreational opportunities for all ages.  The lake is home to some of Maine’s best fishing and is periodically stocked with Trout and Salmon by Maine Inland Fisheries.  Thompson Lake is a great lake to witness loons, eagles, and other wildlife.  

Middle Range Pond

Middle Range Pond is part of an interconnected chain of lakes, making it highly desirable for boating and fishing.  There is arguably no better pond in Maine for fishing.  Amenities include public picnic areas and boat launches.  Poland Spring Country Club and Fairlawn Country Club are close by, making it a great location for water and land activities. 

Tripp Pond

Tripp Pond is in southern Androscoggin county provides easy access to the lakes and mountains.  Tripp has long stretches of densely wooden shorelines making it a great body of water for loons, egrets, bald eagles, and many other birds.  Homes that dot the shoreline provide peace and tranquility for those who inhabit the area.  The area surrounding Tripp Pond gives access to many well-maintained hiking trails. 

Bear Pond & Little Bear Pond

Bear Pond & Little Bear Pond are connected and in a more secluded area in Androscoggin county, in the towns of Turner and Hartford.  It is the perfect location if you seek a quiet setting and beautiful scenic view.  This smaller body of water is great for fishing – salmon and trout spawn in Bear Pond’s main inlet, Mutiny Brook.  The ponds are ideal for swimming and boating.  Easy access to skiing make Bear Pond and Little Bear Pond ideal for four-season living.
